All applications should be made on the Kelly Family Charitable Trust’s official application form, which can be downloaded by clicking the link on the right of this page. Applications should be send by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grants are awarded twice a year to charities whose aims fall within the criteria of the Trust. Grants will generally be in the range of £1000 - £5000, but Trustees will consider requests for higher amounts.
Applications must be submitted by 1st March and 1st September to be considered at the subsequent meeting. The Trustees will ask for more detail for those applications that pass the initial screening and may visit the projects they wish to support.
The Trust application form is available to complete by downloading the form and returning it to the Grants Administrator by email.
Details of where to send applications can be found at the top of the form.
Applications should be supported by Annual accounts where available.
The Trust has decided to prioritise its funding in favour of charities whose activities involve all or most family members in initiatives that support and encourage the family to work as a cohesive unit in tackling problems that face one or more of its members. The overall objective is to reinforce the potential benefit and support that family members as a unit can give to each other.
Applications are also welcomed from sports and health-related charities whose activities comply with the above criteria.
The Trust will consider both capital and revenue grants. The Trust is happy to support requests for core funding as well as project-based grants, and actively encourages applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established.
Applications should be supported by annual accounts where available.
The following will not be considered:
- Non-registered charities
- Individual requests for grants
- National Charities (only regional projects will be considered)
- General Appeals
- Organisations with specific religious or political agendas
Applications should be made on the Kelly Family Charitable Trust’s official application form, which can be found on the How To Apply page.
If a grant is awarded, the charity will be asked to provide a report on its progress and the effective use of its grant during the funding year. The Trust may consider repeat funding requests on receipt of satisfactory progress reports.
